EDGARS CLUB TERMS & CONDITIONS (010722):

  1. Edgars Club is administered by Crave Rewards on behalf of Retailability (Pty) Ltd.
  2. Joining via Edgars account:
    1. Members authorise RCS on behalf of Edgars Club to debit their account with the agreed-upon amount.
    2. The initial membership fee will be debited to the following month’s Edgars account.
    3. Membership fees will continue to be debited every month thereafter.
    4. To opt out before being debited, email customercare@edgarsclub.co.za before the final day of the month in which the application was processed.
    5. Benefits may not be charged to an Edgars account.
  3. Joining via debit order:
    1. Members authorise Retailability on behalf of Edgars Club to debit their account with the agreed-upon amount.
    2. Debits will reflect as EDGARSCLUB followed by the Edgars Club membership number.
    3. The initial membership fee will be debited on the last working day of the month of application unless the application date is on the last working day of that month, in which case the account will be debited on the last working day of the next month to the bank account as chosen by the Edgars Club member when completing their e-mandate.
    4. If the collection date of the instruction falls on a non-processing day (weekend or public holiday), the payment instruction will be debited on the business day directly prior to or following the non-processing day.
    5. To opt out before being debited, email customercare@edgarsclub.co.za before the final working day of the month in which the application was processed.
  4. Membership upgrades – upgrades will be effective from the 1st of the following month, whereupon the membership fee will be adjusted to the applicable rate. Upgrades will be billed at the prevailing rate.
  5. Membership downgrades – downgrades will be effective from the 1st of the month following the month that notice is given, whereupon the membership fee will be adjusted to the applicable rate. Downgrades will be billed at the prevailing rate.
  6. Resignation – to resign, Edgars Club must be contacted either telephonically or in writing via email prior to the last working day of the month. The member will receive a confirmation email or SMS in acknowledgment thereof. Cancellation will be effective from the 1st of the month following the month that notice is given. By way of example:
    – Member resigns on November 26 – cancellation will be effective from 1 December.
    Upon cancellation, the member will forfeit their right to all Edgars Club benefits.
  7. In the event of an Edgars Club membership fee default, the member will forfeit their right to their Edgars Club benefits until such time as the membership fee is successfully collected. Members will be notified of their options before membership is cancelled due to default.
  8. Members may not re-join Edgars Club for a period of 90 days subsequent to cancellation. Acceptance of new applications will be at the discretion of Edgars Club.
  9. Benefits will take up to 5 days to activate, unless otherwise specified. A welcome SMS or email containing the Edgars Club membership number will be sent upon activation.
  10. Benefits may be utilised by the main member only, unless otherwise specified. Membership is not transferable.
  11. Benefit partners reserve the right to change or withdraw benefits and discounts at any time. Members will have no claim against Edgars Club in this event.
  12. Edgars Club benefit partners reserve the right to refuse benefits and discounts if membership is invalid.
  13. Edgars Club reserves the right to suspend or terminate a membership if there is any misconduct or fraudulent use suspected. Edgars Club will not be liable for any refunds whatsoever in the case of any suspension or termination.
  14. New benefit partners may be added to the Edgars Club programme, in which event members will be advised via the website, email or SMS and social media.
  15. Membership fees will be adjusted annually. This adjustment is expected to be aligned to the consumer price index.
  16. Active Edgars Club membership is required for the full period of subscription to any benefit offers whereby a secondary membership subscription is required. These secondary membership fees will revert to full price should Edgars Club membership be deactivated for whatever reason.
  17. Edgars Club processes and terms & conditions may be amended from time-to-time.
  18. Certain benefits rely on the Edgars Club member’s cellphone number being current and active. It is the responsibility of the member to advise Edgars Club telephonically or in writing of any changes to personal details. Edgars Club will not be held liable for any loss due to missing/incorrect/outdated personal details.

  20. Failure to enforce any processes or terms & conditions in any instance will not imply the future lack of enforcement thereof.
  21. Retailability has assumed the management and running of Edgars Club and takes responsibility for all obligations and liabilities effective from 1 October 2020.

COMPETITION TERMS & CONDITIONS:

VALENTINE’S DAY 2022 TERMS & CONDITIONS

  1. The competition prize is available to non-Edgars Club members only. Existing Edgars Club members may elect a non-Edgars Club member over the age of 18 years old to gift the prize to.
  2. The competition prize consists of a 12-month Edgars Club VIP membership, valid from 1 March 2022 – 1 March 2023.
  3. To qualify, tag a loved one on either the Instagram or Facebook post and make sure you are both following the Edgars Club page on either Instagram or Facebook.
  4. Competition closes 20th February.
  5. Edgars Club will randomly select 6 winners (3 winners from Facebook and 3 winners from Instagram) and announce the winner’s details on 25th February.
  6. All winners will be contacted via the social media platform messaging system.
  7. Should the winner not be contactable or claim their prize within 30 days, they will forfeit the prize and another winner will be chosen.
  8. The competition winners will need to provide the following info to qualify for their prize: Full name, ID number, DOB, cell number and email address.
  9. The judge’s decision will be final, and no correspondence will be entered in this regard.
  10. Prizes are not transferable, non-refundable, and non-exchangeable.

1. INTRODUCTION

  • PAWS OF FURY “WATCH & WIN” Competition is being run by EDGARS CLUB, PET HEAVEN, STER KINEKOR AND HILLS (“Organiser/we/us/our”).
  • Each person entering the Competition (“participants/entrants/you/your”) and/or accepting any prize in terms of this Competition, agrees and accepts that the Competition rules as set out in these terms and conditions (“Rules”) is binding on him or her.

3. WHO CAN ENTER

  • To be eligible to enter the Competition you must:

    • be 18 (eighteen) years old or older on the date you enter
    • be a natural person; and
    • is not barred or disqualified by any authority from taking delivery and transfer of the Prize or any portion thereof.
  • Notwithstanding clause 3.1, you are not eligible to enter this Competition if:
    • You are a director, member, partner, employee, agent or consultant of the Organisers, or any other person who directly or indirectly controls or is controlled by the Organisers; or
    • you are a supplier of goods or services in connection with the Competition.

  • Prizes cannot be exchanged for cash. Winners of the Prizes will be contacted and notified via telephone call and/or email that they are a winner. The winner/s may be required to provide the following documentation: a valid SA ID copy, a photographic image of themselves to be published on all sponsors social media pages. If required, the potential winner will have 48 hours to submit the relevant documentation before forfeiting the prize. Failure to do so will result in a disqualification. Customers will need to collect their prize in the form of an Edgars gift card at their closes store on a pre-arranged basis. This choice of store will be determined by Retailability (Pty) Ltd when contacting the winner/s weekly.

8. GENERAL TERMS

  • The Organiser may in its sole discretion amend these rules at any time, without notice, and such amendment(s) shall be deemed to have taken effect from the date of publication of the revised rules on the website.
  • The Organiser will interpret the rules in their sole discretion and reserve the right to amend the rules at any time should it be deemed necessary in the sole and unfettered discretion of the organisers.
  • If you are not eligible to enter the competition in terms of clause 3 above, you will forfeit any prize that may be allocated to you in terms of this competition. The organisers reserve the right to request you to provide necessary proof that you have met the eligibility requirements. Should you fail to provide such proof within a reasonable time, you will be disqualified, and any prizes will be forfeited and returned if applicable.
  • The organiser may collect, store and use any personal information of entrants and/or other participants for communication or statistical purposes. By entering the competition, you expressly consent to the aforesaid use.
  • In The Event Of A Dispute, The Decision Of The Organiser Will Be Final And Binding And No Correspondence Will Be Entered Into. In This Regard And For Further Clarity, The Organiser Shall Be Entitled To Deal With Such Disputes (Or Any Failure By Participants To Follow The Rules) In Their Sole Discretion, Including That The Organiser Shall Be Entitled, In Addition To Any Other Rights Which The Organiser May Have In Terms Of These Rules And/Or The General Competition Rules, To Immediately Disqualify Participants From This Competition.
  • By Entering The Competition And/Or Accepting Any Prize, The Entrants, Users And/Or Winners Hereby Indemnify, Release And Hold Harmless The Organiser (Including Its Subsidiaries, Holding Companies And Affiliates), Its Directors, Employees, Agents, Suppliers And Contractors (The “Organiser Parties”) From And Against Any Actions, Claims And/Or Liability For Injury, Loss, Damage, Expense, Claim Or Damages Of Any Kind Resulting In Whole Or In Part, Directly Or Indirectly, From Participation In The Competition, And/Or The Use, Acceptance Or Possession Of A Prize, And/Or Participation (Or Non-Participation) In A Prize-Related Activity.
  • The Organiser Reserves The Right To Terminate The Competition At Any Time With Immediate Effect. If This Is The Case, The Organiser Will Provide A Notice On The Website. It Shall Be The Responsibility Of Entrants To Review Such Website In This Respect. In Such Event, All Entrants Hereby Waive Any Rights Which They May Have Against Any Of The Organiser Parties And Acknowledge That They Will Have No Recourse Or Claim Of Any Nature Against The Organiser Parties.
  • All Personal Information You Provide To Us Will Only Be Processed (As Such Term Is Defined In The Protection Of Personal Information Act, No 4 Of 2013 (The “Act”)) For The Purposes Of The Competition And Otherwise In Accordance With The Provisions Of The Act. In This Regard, All Personal Information You Provide To Us Will Be Treated In Accordance With Our Privacy Policy. Your Personal Details Will Not Be Published On The Site (Unless Agreed Otherwise) Or Sold To Any Third Party.
  • The Organiser Is Not Liable For Any Technical Failure That May Result In An Entry Not Being Successfully Submitted.
  • Any Prize Is Accepted By A Winner At His/Her Own Risk And The Organiser Is Not Liable, At Any Time, For Any Defect In The Prize.
  • Where relevant, if a Winner does not accept the Prize as required herein, if an entry is not valid for whatever reason, if a Winner has breached these terms and conditions, if a Winner renounces the Prize or we deem such Winner to have renounced the Prize, we reserve the right to declare the Prize forfeited and/or choose a new Winner.
  • Nothing in these terms and conditions is intended to, or must be understood to, unlawfully restrict, limit, or avoid any rights or obligations created for either the entrants or the organisers in terms of the Consumer Protection Act, 68 of 2008.

The duration of this Competition may also be extended or curtailed at the sole discretion of the Organiser. If this is the case, the Organiser will provide notice of this on the various marketing communications.

  4. Unused tickets cannot be carried over to the following month.

Computicket

  1. Please note that discounts are applicable on the selected Computicket deals that are advertised on the Edgars Club website and Edgars Club marketing material and are subject to change without notice.
  2. The Computicket deals are only available through Edgars Club via the Edgars Club Contact Centre and not directly through Computicket.
  3. Tickets are limited and will be provided on a first come first serve basis.
  4. Edgars Club cannot guarantee availability until payment is made and proof of payment is received.
  5. Once payment reflects in the service providers bank account, the tickets will be booked depending on availability. An SMS or email will be sent to the Member with the code which can be redeemed at any Shoprite, Checkers or Computicket outlet.
  6. If payment has been made to the service provider by the Member and if the tickets are not available due to availability, the service provider will refund the Member the full amount paid by the Member.
  7. Tickets cannot be cancelled, refunded or amended once booked.
  8. Prices of the tickets on selected deals may increase due to availability. Members will be required to pay the difference.
  9. Events are only available to the main member.
  10. Computicket deals will change from month to month and terms and conditions apply.
  11. The monthly 2 (Two) Computicket subsidised ticket deals cannot be used to book the same show and cannot be used in conjunction with each other at the same time.

Bounce Inc

  3. Live/active Edgars Club memberships are required to access the BOUNCE Inc benefit.
  4. The benefit applies to the ticket types indicated in the offer only.
  5. The benefit does not apply to parties.
  6. The benefit cannot be used in conjunction with any special offers or promotions.
  7. BOUNCE grip socks are required and can be purchased at R30 per pair.

Crave Dining Cashback

  1. Refund is processed by Crave and not the restaurant. Accordingly, please refer all Benefit queries to Crave.
  2. The Dining Cashback Benefit entitles the active member only, to a refund (cashback) on the second most expensive meal, provided:
    1. no less than 2 meals and 2 drinks are purchased per membership; and
    2. they have not exceeded their visits for that month (where applicable); and
    3. they are at least 18 years of age
  3. The cashback amount will be calculated as the second most expensive meal on the bill, up to a maximum of R120.00 (one hundred and twenty Rand). The cashback claim will be verified with the restaurant to ensure validity.
  4. The cashback claim will be processed within 4 working days unless otherwise specified. Over the December holiday period, claims will incur additional processing time.
  1. The Dining Cashback Benefit:
    1. is valid for a specified list of restaurants only. Crave shall be entitled, in their sole and absolute discretion, to amend the list of restaurants from time to time. Crave shall endeavour to promptly update this list as and when any changes are made. Whilst every effort will be made to ensure that all listed restaurants are trading, Crave will not be held liable in the event of any restaurant closures; and
    2. is based on the restaurant’s standard prices; and
    3. is not applicable with any special offers, promotions, discount vouchers or loyalty programs; and
    4. may be used in conjunction with Uber Pass; and
    5. may be used for takeaways and delivery where available; and
    6. may only be used once per restaurant per day; and
    7. does not apply to desserts, toppings, sides, “build your burger”, sharable platters, extras on burgers/pizzas etc; and
    8. applies to courses that include drinks provided it is not a special; and
    9. may not be used within 3 hours of a previous claim.
    10. may not be used at any restaurant at which the Member is employed.
  2. A maximum of two memberships may be used per table, provided they are under different names. Each member must request their own authorisation and claim separately. In the case of two claims submitted, the first claim processed will attract the bigger discount. The cashback amount will be calculated as follows:
  • Membership 1: 2nd most expensive meal on the bill up to max R120.00, with a minimum of 2 drinks
  • Membership 2: 4th most expensive meal on the bill up to max R120.00, with a minimum of 4 drinks
  1. Pre-authorisation is required in advance of ordering the meals. Authorisation is not a booking and is not a guarantee of a cashback refund. If required, a booking reservation should be made directly by the member with the restaurant.
  2. Cashback claims:
    1. must be submitted within one calendar month of the restaurant visit; and
    2. must be deposited into the bank account in the name of the member only; and
    3. must include the original restaurant receipt clearly displaying the restaurant name, receipt number, date, and time (card receipts not accepted). At Crave’s discretion, Crave may request for proof of payment to be submitted along with any pro-forma invoices that are submitted e.g. credit card slip, Zapper or Snapscan receipt, or cash receipt. Failure to produce proof of payment when requested may result in the claim being declined; and
    4. will not be processed if the details on the receipt (restaurant name, date) do not match the authorisation details, or if the proof of payment and authorisation time is more than 5 hours apart. If a restaurant visit is rescheduled and falls out of this time, please request a new authorisation. Backdated authorisations are not permitted.
  3. Membership is non-transferable.
  4. Crave accepts no responsibility for the quality of service and/or meals at restaurants. Furthermore, Crave will not become involved in any non-Crave related disputes between members and restaurants.
  5. Crave processes and terms and conditions may be amended from time-to-time.
  6. Failure to adhere to, or any attempt to circumvent the Crave Dining Cashback Benefit terms and conditions, will result in eligibility to use the Crave Dining Cashback Benefit being terminated.

Fitchef

  1. Benefit provider terms and conditions apply.
  2. The benefit is not applicable to DNA kits and vouchers.
  3. Multiple orders may be placed per month, however, the offer is restricted to a maximum discount of R2000 in total per month. This is irrespective of the number of orders placed.

  10. Refund or Returns: Due to the nature of food and heath & safety, we cannot accept meals back once delivered.

Crave Heat and Eat Cashback

    2. Is restricted to heat & eat, ready-made meals only, comprising a pre-packaged, multi-ingredient fresh or frozen meal that requires heating before being served, or alternatively, a ready-made, multi-ingredient salad. Please review the example list of permitted items before the purchase; and
    3. Is not applicable with any special offers, promotions, discount vouchers or loyalty programs; and
    4. Is subject to change at any time; and
    5. Applies to items purchased on one receipt only; and
    6. Is not applicable to desserts; and
    7. Is not applicable to meals purchased from any restaurants.
    8. May not be used at any retailer at which the Member is employed.
  6. Please enquire regarding the eligibility of a meal before claiming should there be any uncertainty.

  1. The Crave Coffee Voucher Benefit utilises Zapper (www.zapper.com) to facilitate discounting. You are required to download and install the Zapper app onto a compatible smartphone (iOS, Android) in order to access the Benefit. Zapper Terms & Conditions apply.
  2. The Benefit entitles a Crave Coffee Voucher member to buy one coffee and get one free.
  3. You are required to spend a minimum of R30 to qualify for your discount.
  4. Where both coffees differ in price, the discount is calculated as 50% of the total cost of both coffees, up to a maximum discount of R25.
  5. Your Benefit voucher is sent to your Zapper inbox on a monthly basis and is valid for that calendar month.
  6. You are required to redeem the Benefit voucher and pay via Zapper to enable your discount.
  7. Unless otherwise specified, any unused redemptions may be accumulated for that calendar month and may be used once per day per restaurant.
  8. The Crave Coffee Voucher Benefit:
    1. can only be redeemed at participating partners. We shall be entitled, in our sole and absolute discretion, to amend the list of participating partners from time to time. We shall endeavour to promptly update the list of participating partners as and when any changes are made. You are required to check the list of participating partners to confirm availability every time prior to utilising the Benefit;
    2. is based on the participating partners standard prices. Partners reserve the right to restrict the usage of any special offer, promotion, gift card, voucher or loyalty program in conjunction with the Benefit;
    3. is applicable to all non-alcoholic hot beverages e.g. cappuccino, latte, coffee, tea, hot chocolate etc;
    4. may be redeemed in-store or via takeaway (where it is offered);
    5. may not be used in conjunction with any other Crave benefit (where applicable);
    6. may not be used for any purchases other than the stated purpose;
  1. In all instances whereby you do not qualify for the Benefit discount, you are required to uncheck your voucher prior to paying with Zapper.
  2. You are required to redeem the Benefit voucher and pay via Zapper to:
    1. authorise your membership (invalid memberships will be declined authorization);

Crave Dining Voucher

  1. The Crave Dining Voucher Benefit utilises Zapper (www.zapper.com) to facilitate discounting. You are required to download and install the Zapper app onto a compatible smartphone (iOS, Android) in order to access the Benefit. Zapper Terms & Conditions apply.
  2. The Benefit entitles you to a discount of R120, provided that:

Spa Treatments

Bus Tickets

Funeral Cover – Hollard

Emergency Home Assistance

  4. Incidents not authorized by a case manager will not be covered.
  5. Repairs outside of the place of dwelling are not covered e.g. office premises, public buildings or outbuildings not attached to the main building etc.
  6. Appliance still under warranty are referred to the manufacturer for repair.
  7. Appliance repairs will only be attended to Monday to Friday between 08h00 and 17h00.
  8. A repair incident is considered per service category e.g. if an electrician is called out to repair a fault on the distribution board, as well as an electrical connection is treated as one callout.
  9. Each service benefit is treated as one incident.
  10. The benefit period is one calendar year, and the benefit does not accumulate, but has a maximum amount per incident.
  11. Service guarantees vary and are on the service provider’s invoice.
  12. The member needs to contact the allocated number to access these services. Should the member not access these services though our network of service providers but utilise their own service providers, it will result that the member will be responsible to pay for services rendered.
  13. Benefit covers the cost for callout plus one hour.
  14. All parts and additional labour are not included.

Emergency Roadside Assistance

  4. Any assistance not covered by Roadside, but offered on a “Member to Pay” basis and is subject to the client paying the costs at the time of service.
  5. Roadside assist excludes assistance in the following incidents:
  6. Costs incurred for assistance following an attempted theft, or hi-jacking will be for the member’s account. Clients will be advised that these costs need to be recovered from their insurance company directly.
  7. Vehicles not registered on the contract and or policy.
  8. The cost of repair of parts, such as new batteries, tyres, locks, keys, etc.
  9. The cost of towing or repairs if Europ Assistance did not request the service.
  10. Vehicles not registered under the Road Traffic Act or similar legislation applicable in South Africa.
  11. Vehicles that are un-roadworthy or clearly in a state of neglect.
  12. Recovery of a vehicle, i.e. any costs incurred in order to move a disabled vehicle into a position to facilitate a tow.
  13. Any damages that may be caused by external factors i.e. potholes, road works etc.
  14. Events not covered by Roadside Assistance will be offered on a member-to-pay basis
  15. Each service benefit is treated as one incident.
  16. The member needs to contact the allocated number to access these services. Should the member not access these services though our network of service providers but utilise their own service providers, it will result that the member will be responsible to pay for services rendered.
